Project type: Counseling and therapy website design
Industry: Behavioral health, trauma therapy, and psilocybin facilitation
Scope: Custom WordPress build, service architecture, two-state local SEO foundation

Project Overview

LaDonna Remy is a licensed clinician (MSW, LICSW) serving clients across Washington and Oregon. Her practice covers more ground than most therapy sites have to handle. EMDR for trauma, Circle of Security parent education, clinical consultation and supervision, and one of Oregon’s rarer credentials: state-licensed Psilocybin Facilitation. Her previous site struggled to do justice to any of it. Services blurred together, the visual tone read closer to a medical office than a counseling practice, and the search structure offered no clear path for someone Googling a specific modality in a specific city. The site we built gives each service its own page, its own explanation, and its own search visibility, while keeping the overall tone calm and grounded from the first scroll.

The Build

A therapy website does work most service sites never have to do. Before a visitor reads a single word, the design has to feel safe enough to keep scrolling. Color, spacing, photography, language, every choice contributes to whether someone in a vulnerable moment reaches out or closes the tab. We built around that reality.

Each clinical offering sits on its own page, so a visitor searching for EMDR in Portland or trauma counseling in Spokane lands where they need to be instead of digging through one catch-all Services list. The Psilocybin Facilitation page is structured separately because the audience, intent, and search language for that service look nothing like traditional counseling. Mobile performance was a priority too, since most people looking for a therapist are doing it on a phone, late at night, and the site has to load fast and feel quiet on a small screen.

This is the kind of work we cover in detail on our counseling web design service page, including the structural, trust-building, and SEO decisions that shape every therapy site we deliver.

The Outcome

LaDonna’s practice now has a site that does the introductory work for her. A prospective client lands on the right page, gets enough information to feel oriented, and can reach out from any device. The architecture is set up to keep growing as she adds workshops, supervision cohorts, or expands her psilocybin facilitation calendar across Oregon.
