PayPal Website Passwords Hacked?

The hacker group Anonymous claims they have hacked a PayPal server and stealing 28,000 customer passwords. Anonymous announced the hack on Twitter, “linking to a set of Private Paste documents containing emails, names, and what appear to be possibly passwords from the payment service’s database,” according to TNW.

In light of this, it would not be a bad idea to simply go and change your password. PayPal is widely considered one of the most secure and reliable methods of payment, but this shows how diligence can help you avoid disaster. Whether the hacking claim is true or not, there is no need to risk your account.
